Getting started.
What happens after you sign up, what Insento can and cannot see, and how the data is handled.
Your first hour
Sign up and add your first competitor by domain. Nothing else is required. The first scan starts immediately and opens the feed when it finishes.
- Add a competitor by domain
- The homepage is checked first
- Read findings in the feed
- Receive a weekly email recap
What Insento cannot see
It reads public sources only. It cannot see a competitor's ad spend, their conversion rate, their audience definitions or anything behind a login. Any product that claims to show you those numbers for a competitor is either estimating them or getting them somewhere it should not.
Alert channels
The product feed is the source of truth. The weekly email recap links back to the source and the full history for that competitor.
How your data is separated
Each customer is a tenant, and every table carrying customer data is protected by row level security keyed to the tenant. Isolation is enforced by the database rather than by application code, which means a bug in a query cannot leak another customer's competitor list. There is an automated test that tries to read across tenants and is expected to fail.
Exporting and leaving
Everything you can see, you can export as CSV. An API is planned for the Business plan and is not live today. If you close the account, the data stays available for 30 days so you can take it with you, then it is deleted.
